I've been living in the land of my childhood for almost a year and a half now. The first five months I spent in the gym and on the basketball court while visiting DC, NYC, and Kentucky on the weekends and protecting tequila companies and bars from the recession. About a year ago I took a job as a preschool teacher - eight months of sheer madness, fun, and learning to hate corporate America. Trips to Bonnaroo (yes, it is still incredible) and All Good were summer highlights. Since I quit the preschool teaching gig I've been doing local residential construction for my brother's girlfriends father.
I grow bored too quickly and I'm always occupied by my "dream of the week"; so far this year I've considered seeing the Triple Crown and riding trains and exploring from Lisbon to Beijing. I love to dream but am constantly hindered by the all powerful constraints of society and emptiness of my bank account.
I'm not so sure what this blog is going to be about but I hope it will serve some sort of purpose. Sometimes I'll rant about a meal, profess my love for my friends or fly-fishing, or consider the lost art of extended foreplay.
Perhaps I'll just be searching for a place where I feel at home.
